Help with Title Bar Buttons

6 years 9 months ago #1 by James
I'm convinced this is not a QTitanRibbon issue, but it's something I need help with. Maybe the QTitanRibbon community has some ideas that would help.

Problem: The "hot spot" for the mouse-over effect of the "close", "minimize", and "restore" buttons on the main window title bar is too small.

Example: If the close button is 60 x 50, the hot spot is something smaller, like 32 x 32. The hot spot is aligned to the top-right corner of the button. This means the mouse-over effect doesn't appear until the mouse is in the top right corner of the close button region. The problem is worse on 4k displays where the button is scaled using DPI scaling, but the hot-spot seems to be the same raw pixel size (unscaled).

I've investigated the various style classes provided by QTitanRibbon and for Office 2010, the buttons are not managed by the style (as best I can tell). This appears to be an issue with my code. If I build one of the QTitanRibbon examples, there is no problem with the hot-spot on the title bar.

Anyone have some ideas on where to look to resolve this issue? Ideally, I'm trying to find the code which processes the region of the close button for the mouse-over effect.
