I want to translate all the messages from english to my motherlanguage (italian).
Which is the best practice?

I apologize for the delay in response. To localize the grid you need to use standard Qt tools. Grid has translations into the several languages, and you can make it by analogy.
Also, if this is possible, you can send us your translation and I will include it in the build. After that it will be available to other users.
