Is it possible for gallery items to have captions?

Is it possible for gallery items to have captions? was created by Ben
As far as I can tell, RibbonGalleryItem::setCaption is being ignored, and only the icon is being displayed in the gallery. Is there a way to put a text label along side it or beneath it?
